Thank you very much to everyone who could make it to AGM this week! It was a great evening with two very interesting talks. There was a bat walk to round off the evening too; I'm not sure how much activity there was, but please don't forget to submit any records!

It was a bitter-sweet evening for the committee, as we bid farewell to Paul Hope, who has stood down to focus on his PhD research into bat hibernation. However we are also lucky to warmly welcome Vicky Russell, who will be heading the Bats in Churches project, and Phil May, famous for his bicycle based bat surveys! Finally, a huge congratulations to Chris and Mike Pawling for being awarded Honorary Life Membership of the Group. In Lynne, our Chair's words, "In many respects, Chris and Mike are the Bat Group!"

Anyone who couldn't make it on Wednesday can download the powerpoint presentation below containing the Chair's report.
