"Investigating the impact of artificial light, sound and magnetic fields on UK bat species".
At our meeting on Thursday 23rd February we will be hearing about the research by Jack Merrifield and Jenny Abery of the University of Southampton on the effects of human light, noise and magnetic field pollution on bats in urban environments. What counts as disturbance is not well defined making it arguably difficult for ecological consultants and site developers to prevent human-bat conflict in areas experiencing urban growth.

Location: Swanwick Lakes Study Centre, Open for refreshments from 19.00, presentation starts 19.30.
