Raising awareness of Easyfundraising

posted 17 Jun 2012, 10:38 by Mark Rose
Following our recent update on a significant source of potential financial support via Easyfundraising, we're asking for the help of all members, not just by signing up, but by encouraging friends and family to do the same! We've prepared the below email template to make this even easier.

Dear all,

Hampshire Bat Group works across the county to research and conserve bats, educate people about them, and also runs a Bat Hospital. As a registered charity we depend entirely on donations and subscriptions for our work. Whether a member or not, if you ever shop online you can raise money for our bat group at no cost to yourself. Just visit, register your name and postcode, and select Hampshire Bat Group as your preferred charity. Then, every time you shop at Amazon, Sainsbury’s or John Lewis online (or many, many others!), buy a train ticket or renew insurance online, please do it via

It’s just one extra click! The retailer will then give a percentage of your sale to the bat group. Furthermore, if you install the very unintrusive Find and Remind Service on your web-browser, Easyfundraising will donate 50p to the bat group straight away, and it soon adds up!

So far we have raised over £120. But we only have 16 supporters. We need lots more! Please help if you can.
