Photo of the Month

Summer is a busy time of year when it comes to batting, and we’d love to hear what you all get up to. We’d like to encourage you all to take your camera with you while you’re out and about and send us your photos of any batty activities. The best photo each month will be put on our website in our new ‘Photo of the Month’ feature.

Photos can be submitted in a range of categories, including Bats, Batty Habitat and Batty Events. If you’re feeling artistic and fancy drawing or creating something batty please send us a photo of your creation for our Crafty Bats category. If you feel your photo doesn’t fit any of these categories please let us know and we can create a new one!

Remember that it is an offence to disturb roosting bats, so please don’t take photos of bats while they are roosting. If you want to take a close up photo of a live bat please only do so at organised events or if you are licensed to do so.

Please send your batty photos to Photos should be submitted by the last Friday of each month for the winner to be chosen for the following month. All photos submitted after that date will be rolled over into the following month. Any queries can also be addressed to
